🇹🇭 Thailand eSIM
A MoMo Thailand eSIM is a digital SIM that gives your phone mobile data in Thailand without a physical SIM card. You buy a plan online, receive the eSIM by email, and install it by scanning a QR code.
The eSIM connects to Thai mobile networks, so you can use Grab, Google Maps, translation apps and the internet as soon as you arrive. Plans include a fixed amount of data, or unlimited data, for a set number of days.
Buying a physical SIM in Thailand normally requires passport registration at a kiosk or shop. A travel eSIM is delivered online with no paperwork, which is useful if you arrive late or travel straight from the airport.
Thailand eSIM plans
MoMo Thailand eSIMs work nationwide, covering Bangkok, Chiang Mai and the main tourist regions in the south. The network types supported by each plan are shown on the plan cards above.
Thailand plans are being updated. Multi-country and global plans are available in the meantime.
Why use an eSIM in Thailand?
- No passport registration or kiosk queues: the eSIM is delivered to your email right after payment.
- Avoid roaming charges from your home carrier for data use in Thailand.
- Keep your physical SIM active so your regular number keeps working for calls and texts.
- Choose between fixed-data plans for short trips and unlimited plans if you rely heavily on mobile data.
How much data do I need in Thailand?
Light use
For maps, messaging and light browsing, 1 to 3 GB per week is usually enough for Thailand's well-connected cities.
Normal travel use
For ride-hailing apps, social media, email and browsing every day, a 5 to 10 GB plan for two weeks suits most travelers.
Heavy use
For streaming, uploading photos or sharing a connection with other devices, choose a 20 GB or larger plan, or an unlimited plan.
